HS Building Management is the main lost and found for all Health Sciences facilities. We accept lost item drop-offs during our office hours.
Inquiries
People can inquire about lost items either in-person or via email (hsbuild@uw.edu). Some items may take a several days to be turned in. We will check our inventory for items, but without an accurate description of the item we cannot release it to the individual. Items turned into HS Building Management will be held for about 30 days. After 30 days, unclaimed items are turned into the HUB lost and found.
HS Building Management will attempt to contact individuals about items turned in with identifying or personal information.

Special items and exceptions
- Debit/credit cards are kept for three business days and then shredded if unclaimed.
- Items containing sensitive personal information (such as a SSN) are kept for three business days and destroyed if unclaimed.
Items not accepted
- Underwear, socks, or other undergarments
- Towels, pillows, and sheets
- Toiletries
- Cosmetics
- Medications
- Weapons
- Bicycles or other wheeled vehicles
- Perishables, including containers with food or beverages. HS Building Management will not clean containers.
- HS Building Management may refuse to accept any item that is soiled, damaged, or dirty
