HSEB B103 Anatomage Room

HSEB B103, located in UWS Health Sciences Education Building, is a Video Conference Room with seating for 20 people. It has an Anatomage table – a 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education.

Wireless Connection

  1. Select Wireless, if it is not already selected, on the touch panel.
  2. Make sure you are connected to the University of Washington or eduroam wireless network.

Ways to Connect Wirelessly

Connecting Through Miracast

  1. Press Windows + K on your keyboard to open wireless display options
  2. Select the room you’re in
  3. Enter the 4-digit code on the screen

Connecting Through Airplay

  1. Connect through Apple Airplay by going to the top right and select the Control Center
  2. Select Screen Mirror
  3. Select the room you are in
  4. Input the 4-digit code that pops up on the room screen

If You are Unable to Connect Through Airplay

  1. Download the Mersive Solstice app if not already installed
  2. Open the Mersive Solstice app
  3. There will be a pop-up that will ask for access to screen record, select Accept
  4. Input the IP address of the Solstice pod into your app
  5. Input the 4-digit code that pops up on the room screen
  6. Choose what content you want to display into the room

If You Missed the Pop-Up or Clicked Cancel

  1. Open up System Preferences
  2. Go to Privacy and Security
  3. Look for Screen Recording
  4. Look for the Mersive Solstice icon and select the toggle right next to it
  5. Open the Mersive Solstice app
  6. Input the IP address of the Solstice pod into your app
  7. Input the 4-digit code that pops up on the room screen
  8. Choose what content you want to display into the room
  9. For I-Phone and I-Pad, follow steps 1-7, look for screen mirroring on your device, select the room you’re in,
    and input the 4-digit code one more time

Connecting Through Solstice

  1. Download the Mersive Solstice app if not already installed
  2. Open the Mersive Solstice app
  3. Input the IP address of the Solstice pod into your Solstice app
  4. Input the 4-digit code that pops up on the room screen

  1. Tap the touch panel with the UW logo to start using the room.
  2. Connect your device with the HDMI cable with adaptors to fit your device.
  3. Select Laptop or Wireless.
  4. Select how you would like to display your device on the touch panel.
  5. You can adjust the volume of your device with the program volume.
  6. If you are using mics, the mic tab on the bottom right will show you the main mics in the room and the ability to adjust them.
  7. Make sure to select shut down when you are down with the space.

Classroom and Podium Keys

Most Health Sciences classrooms are left unlocked with a few exceptions. To check out a key for one of these locked rooms, please visit Building Management in T283, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or refer to Health Sciences Key Services for more information. Course instructors may check out a key for the quarter when they are teaching in these rooms.

Podium Keys

Some classrooms have microphones that are stored in locked podiums. Stop by the office in T291A to check out a podium key for an individual event or for the full quarter. Keys must be returned to Classroom Services. Users who do not return keys may be charged a $15 replacement fee.

Conjoint Microscope Keys

Conjoint students who need to use a microscope in T488 may check out a key from HS Building Management in T283 during their regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Magnuson Health Sciences Building

The Magnuson Health Sciences Building is located on NE Pacific Street attached to the UW Medical Center at 1705 NE Pacific Street, Seattle, WA 98195. View HSC on the UW campus map.

General Room Information

All rooms (excluding the HS Lobby, Rotunda Cafe Foyer, Overpass Lounge, K423A, and K523A) have installed LCD projectors, projection screens. Please refer to the room matrix for additional information.

Special Event Spaces

Special event spaces include the Rotunda Foyer, T469 Overpass Lounge, E207 (E-Court Cafe), and HS lobby. Rotunda Foyer, and HS lobby can be reserved for any time frame, however the T469 Overpass Lounge and E207 can only be reserved after 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

South Campus Center

The South Campus Center is located behind the Health Sciences building and the S-1 (South Campus) Parking Garage at 1601 NE Columbia Road, Seattle, WA 98195. View SCC on the UW campus map.

Directions: Head south on 15th Ave NE towards the Portage Bay until you arrive at Gate 6. Continue through Gate 6 and the South Campus Center will be on your right.

Furniture

The furniture in all SCC spaces can be rearranged to better suit your event’s needs. However, you must return the tables and chairs to their original configuration, which are outlined in the room layout diagrams found in each space. Failure to do so may result in room reset fees. Classroom Services staff is available to provide specific furniture setup and take down when it is requested at least two weeks prior to the event date, for a fee.

SCC Special Event Spaces

Special event spaces at South Campus Center include the Crow’s Nest (SCC 354), Portage Bay area, SCC third floor lobby, SCC 316, SCC 316D Kitchenette (connected to SCC 316), and the Terrace on the second floor. These spaces are ideal for receptions, product shows, poster sessions, and celebrations. For more information, please refer to the room matrix.

Informal Learning Spaces

All spaces are free to use on a first-come, first-serve basis, including empty classrooms. Informal study spaces cannot be reserved, with the exception of some spaces which may be reserved for DRS accommodations.

Wireless Internet connection is available in all spaces. You may need a valid UW NetID to access the network.

Li Lu Library

The Li Lu Library is a light-filled space that features floor-to-ceiling windows and innovative group and quiet study areas, digital video and presentation technology, and a staffed service desk.

Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library is a study and learning center with both open and private spaces for all students to gather to study and learn.
